The Jr. Staff Accountant supports the general accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role works closely with the supervisor on month end closing activities.
Essential Job Functions
Learn and support all accounts payable related duties including invoice verification.
Learn and support all accounts receivable related duties including daily sales reconciliation from Corporate and Franchise store sales receipt.
Work with the Loss Prevention department to update the cases status of cash discrepancy investigations
Ensure timely payment submission and accuracy
Fixed asset booking
Rent payment preparation with Real Estate department on all stores and office properties
Support general ledger maintenance, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Assist in processing employee expense reimbursement according to company policy
Coordinate with other departments to prepare and review expenses booking and payments
Participate in monthly cycle cutoff processing tasks
Assist in government tax and fee filing
Assist with audit preparations and other ad-hoc financial projects as assigned
Additional Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; especially Microsoft Excel application
Knowledge in SAP Hana is a big plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with excellent documentation abilities
Bilingual in Mandarin (preferred, not required).
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred.
